Brilliant movie from 1999 year, a classic Animation movie. My Neighbors the Yamadas is a great lesson in movie making for all the newbie directors. It is not just "some" movie, it has an eternal message. My Neighbors the Yamadas has one of the highest ranks in IMDB top movies. Isao Takahata is the person responsible for making a lot of good work with brilliant writing and amazing cinematography. Artistry of actors are just magnificent, no one give bad performance. My Neighbors the Yamadas has strange energy that fills me every time I watch it. My Neighbors the Yamadas is definitely in my top 3 of Animation movies. You just have to see it.

The film is a series of vignettes following the daily lives of the Yamada family. With tales that range from the humourous to the heartbreaking, we see this family cope with life's little conflicts, problems and joys in their own way.
