One word, outstanding!. The Day of the Living Dead has a reputation of one of the best movies of it's times. I'm the greatest fan of Thomas J. Churchill and The Day of the Living Dead for me is his best movie. I loved whole cast of The Day of the Living Dead, even the enemies of the main character. I never liked Horror titles so it's fair to say i never thought I'd love The Day of the Living Dead. The Day of the Living Dead is definitely in my top 5 movies of all time.
