It's the most known movie made in China. If the viewer doesn't like Drama type of movies, he will watch the whole movie and still I'm sure he will have great fun. The Painted Veil gave me goosebumps. Before watching The Painted Veil I thought it is just average movie, I was wrong!. Film with best plot ever, best directing and really good chosen actors. I liked all the characters, even the evil side, especially Naomi Watts. The Painted Veil will live with us forever. No matter how many years passed. It's a modern classic movie, 2006 year is all yours The Painted Veil. The Painted Veil is a living masterpiece. This movie is an art, at it's very best form.
Storyline of The Painted Veil
A scientist's callow wife accompanies her husband to mainland China in the 1920s to fight a cholera epidemic. Instead, they discover betrayal and estrangement. Given a chance at redemption, the couple embark on a perilous journey of self discovery deep into the heart of the Middle Kingdom.
